Is this role playing? @LavenderTowne because it feels like some kind of main character OC that does this neat trick (nightshade) to bring down the system - or some kind of head cannon story, which is cool, sure, but it isn't realistic. AI has a lot of benefits for artists, and there isn't much to benefit from scraping deviant art. AI is mostly used in commercial editorial, marketing, graphic design, social media (fake influencers) etc. So heavily stylized art, in of itself, is already protected against AI because it doesn't qualify it as being relevant for any practical use. Artists make a living establishing a paying list of clientele, AI hasn't stopped artists from doing this, and if anything, only allowed them to reach more of an audience. But anyways, I'm not here to convince anyone, I get that everyone minds their own fears for a reason. I just think that anyone reading this should understand that whats truer than anything is that content creators like @LavenderTowne, are using AI for content not because they know something of value about the topic; but, because its the topic that has the most traffic associated with it right now, and the concept of "personal interest" should always be measured with any opinion you hear online.
