To keep you as long as possible hooked and to spend money and credits by gambling things into existance.
Those platforms are really designed to be Artists-simulators, fillmakers-simulators and musicians-simulators, giving the illusion to the most thalentless hack that he too can create.
The generated output was never meant to be the endgoal, the use of the platform was.
AI is not a tool, it is a service. It is the equivalent of a client briefing a freelancer to get a job done.
A tool needs craft and skill to be mastered, a service only needs a description of what you wish to accomplish.
A hammer is a tool, the carpenter provides a service to translate your requests into something tangible when you have zero skills or craft to master the hammer yourself.
