For people who are isolated and dont have a support system they can trust, ai is fine in the meantime until they can find affordable and reliable professionals. Speaking from my personal experience, which was a negative one, a therapist I had a few years ago had more problems than me and would take much of the sessions talking about herself. Just because a therapist is a human doesn’t mean they actually care. Unfortunately, there are many therapists who have unresolved mental health problems paired with narcissism and other dark character traits that thrive on having a control of vulnerable people. You have to be cautious either with ai or human. Both are risky.
