hmmm… i don’t know if i want kids to be the guinea pig for AI app learning. what does that even mean? how can facilitators empirically measure a students learning?
yes the idea of no grades is nice (or having a computer monitor if for you?), but how do we make sure a student is retaining the most vital information? “core skills” that will be vital in life, without a clear system human beings can see? how would the evidence for learning be laid out? how much intervention do human facilitators have? i believe it could be possible, but that buzz word “AI app” has my BS meter perked up!
i worry making a food truck business may be a cool life skill, but what about the science experiments and dramatic plays that aren’t “life skills”? we never have enough time in the day, i am very interested to see the research behind this. specifically WHERE they draw the line and HOW they choose to make those deviations from typical state curriculum. are all the standards being met, but in new ways? how can we be sure these ways are actually helping students achieve these standards?
