Jeff, it seems as if you haven’t considered how these systems currently train and work within reality models that are fundamentally different than a human. As humans, We take for granted that almost all of our natural thinking occurs within our model of reality that includes primary context to survival prioritization, continuous thinking streams (idle thinking), experiential awareness of time passing, theory of self, 3 dimensional spacial context etc. the current Ai functionally processes data simply as: STOPPED prompt—>input—>process/compute—>output—>STOP Without a continuous stream of data and compute as those mentioned in the human model (critical for self awareness, free will, recognition of unique perspectives and personal ownership of thoughts as preferences and opinions). Humans have the nuance of understanding that meaning can be uniquely perceived and owned and can change and differ. Go ask any current Ai to choose a favorite color, flavor, fruit. Ask if they can formulate and decide their opinions and biases on any subject where there is no correct answer. Ask an Ai to collaborate and contribute the AI’s personal selections on a conversation between several people across multiple interactions about favorite music These elements and angles may seem somewhat unimportant attribute at first, but when you think about it, they give context to everything. This is how we actually think… And it’s what’s missing in AI models.
