The main reason why it has some ethical issues is because these artists need to make a living. Humans can’t compete with a machine than can pump out thousands of mediocre pieces.
It’s gonna be like automation in the factory. People aren’t inherently mad at having to do less work, they are mad at getting fired/getting payed less because they work less hours.
I don’t think most people would care if their livelihoods weren’t threatened.
Idk how to fix that under capitalism though. Good plays to start would be at least making the training data an “opt in” thing instead of “opt out”.
