As someone who drove a Tesla for 3 years, I can say that Tesla’s autopilot system is absolutely not ready for autonomous driving and can be extremely dangerous in some situations. Tesla’s decision in 2021 to only relay on cameras to see, and drop radar or lidar purely because it’s cheaper to manufacture the car caused a large uptick in crashes and some deaths. No other EV company uses cameras alone, all use a combination of cameras and radar. Tesla gambles with their customers lives to save on costs, and they don’t need to do this
