AI art is so bad. Great vid and insight. I see a lot of it at the cons I do which is a bummer. I also see a ton, a TON of fan art. Fan art is one click away from AI. Using intellectual property and likenesses (even if you drew it) lacks integrity. Artists, it's up to us to: educate, inspire, and challenge the public with original content. Seeing fan art of Calvin and Hobbes dressed up as Batman and Robin (ugh) might as well be AI. I see booths in artist alleys full of ripped off art with cross-over puns. Even if it is a parody, people aren't showing up for the artist on originality. They're showing up for the iconic imagery that's comfortable to them and really, been ripped off. Which in reality, is a rip-off to us all.
The next time I see one more booth of vintage landscape art with added Star Wars characters painted into it, it will be too soon!
