I currently have AI as a study topic in my university.
Let's just say there are a lot of hidden costs going on with that one that just get swept under the mainstream rug.
(Long story short, development and upkeep are a pain in the ass if you want to have a reliable quality standard. Of course tech companies in the US just try to get rid of as much of that process as possible there by just not doing it.)
