Ive recently been thinking a lot about this because of the issues right now that even exist right now. What jobs do people possibly retrain for when there wont be any jobs left? A 4 year program now will change in less than 6 months! I think universal basic income (UBI) for each individual over the age of 18 as a minimum subsidy will need to be applied as well (All countries). The business and growth strategists can figure out how to pay for it using automation profit sharing. Citizens NEED TO BENEFIT (every country needs to do this not just the USA) People can share but also be included in the weath redistribution and decision making as bernie said. Bernie mentioned some other good stop gap measures too, ones as transitory steps however dont kid yourself AI development and robotics are accelerating.. not slowing down.. were literally seeing things change year by year. Restaurants already in some canadian restaurants bus tables.. walmart has a night time cleaning robot that cleans all the floors. Our new age is coming and its coming fast. AI itself can even write its own code.. generate its own videos and write books. So IT work and call center work is all going to be replaced by all but a few architects, engineers and curators as the only human mandated positions. Government (all governments) needs to do this right because if we (humanity) screw it up, people will die and we will see the biggest modern failure of our western democratic society weve even seen. Time is not our friend right now. Support humans (especially the vulnerable) everywhere because without us.. there is no human race.. and something special gets lost and there will be a lot of needless suffering.
