The "worried about how dangerous and powerful ai will be" and "we're making an abundance utopia" are sides of the same coin. And that has us boiling lakes for an increase in stonks valuations.
It's all just scifi and reheated tropes.
And both of the hype types keep us from talking about the real and current damage that these fake ai companies are doing to the world.
