Young people are having a rough time given AI agents fairly easily do the entry-level work. There's some talk of moving those jobs over to an internship-type framework so that even if there aren't junior engineers there's crop of experienced workers to put in senior engineer jobs. For now, AI needs babysitting, so right now AI engineers at the senior level are both scrambling to get up to speed but in high demand. The problem is this is going to hit so terribly unevenly.
