AI should be used to better human life, not invalidate our existence slowly and surely. We are letting ai take over those things that come from our soul (music, writing, sculpting, painting... art in general). Wealthy people are already indifferent to the suffering of the masses. I fear these tools of technology will only enhance that indifference now that ai can seemingly invalidate the time and effort put forth by artists and creative types. We're not talking about flipping burgers or cashier jobs at this point. It's one thing to replace those mundane jobs, but to go after those creative endeavors is an attack on humanity as far as I'm concerned. I thought it was so cool to see artists of every facet beginning to be able to make a living off of their art via the internet. There used to be a term 'starving artist' because far too often very talented people had nothing to show for their beautiful art, in terms of financial compensation. Now, I fear this technology is a direct threat to that golden age of creativity and human expression. This topic needs to be talked about more. Something needs to be done to stave off this attempt to invalidate the best parts of being a person. Legislation and law is going at a snails pace, while AI is making leaps and bounds and increasing in pace exponentially. It already feels too late in many ways... that often fills me with dread.
