You should have said there: "What's this climate change thing? Yeah, it's going to be under control and will go away. What's this? Record high unbearable temperatures which are scorching the Earth? And we surely will get it under control and it won't spiral out of control. Right?" (Or something similar along those lines.) And then BOOM. Apocalypse. The AI is in charge now just like mammals got in charge after the apocalypse. And then things evolve from there.
