Listened to the whole report and a lot of it is fear mongering regarding AI. Every year my company hosts 8 interns and every year we hire all 8 interns. The real killer of opportunity isn’t AI, it’s LinkedIn. You’re not competing against people in the local area for a job, you’re literally competing against the world. You need that foot in the door, you need an internship in college or you’re going to have a hard search.
Or! The other alternative is being willing to move. Not many people want that entry level management position in Mississippi, or Iowa, but it’s a foothold and more likely to hire you than some place more desirable
