Current layoffs have Nothing to do with "AI". The Best AI Fails at 90% + of the tasks when Compared to a Human making the Same task ... no there is no danger of AI causing labor downfalls ... if something it is the opposite. Every major company tricked into accepting AI is now Reversing and rolling back the mistake they made ...
