If anything, this isn't an endorsement to halt automation – which is a battle you cannot win – but for a fairer ecosocial market economy. That means welfare. There is a reason why the Nordics have the happiest people year after year, but Americans have been brainwashed into calling any kind of welfare comunism and equate it with Stalin.
Automation is not going to stop, so there will have to be some form of UBI, universal basic income, sooner or later.
