I use the two words a lot when it comes to AI. 'Carrington Event'. I'm a Boomer AI doomer because I and my peers learnt how to do things without even a calculator, and I see serious lack of basic skills in todays kids such as thinking and problem solving without tech. AI is in the hands of dangerous people. There won't, nor can there be a global rule book. We NEED a Carrington Event and fast. Sadly, we boomers f***ed the world and it might come to us to help fix what we have done IF it isn't too late. If AI doesn't fail before todays young people reach their 30's; with no basic skills and education, a collapsed AI world will be horrendous--perhaps even a return to sticks and stones.
