That kinda made me chuckle, since the salt in their comment is so thick, I could taste it from here. That's mostly people talking, who try a thing for the first time, suck at it (cause it's literally the first time) and then never do it again because it's difficult - then proceed to live their life as if all the people who are skilled at something were born with a gift and completely disregard practice and the sacrificed amount of hours, blood, sweat and tears had flown into their craft. Kinda as if they were thinking that a bodybuilder came out of their mum the way they look now - as if pressing a melon through a keyhole wasn't bad enough already. Sad for those who were discouraged early on that they needed some kind of talent to make art, but being honest: In Kindergarten and in school, my 'art' was mocked because it was ugly, but in middleschool when I finally had the courage to take a pencil into my hand again and started observing the world around me properly, that's when it clicked and I started practicing, often for multiple hours a day. Now I'd never drop my ballpoint pen for anything else. P.s.: I don't care about AI art - the only thing I'm furious about is that i have no AI that does my dishes and chores, but there is an AI that would do my hobbies for me, that's dumb.
