When it comes to getting inspiration from AI images, i must confess that I did do something close to that.
I always like to imagine my own little fantasy world with characters that I made myself in my mind. I haven't ever drawn them since I'm not very good at drawing but it was always something i like to imagine I'd draw one day.
One day, i realized something that was kinda important abouy my character that I just never thought about. What they wore. I never thought about what they wore since I always focused my attention on other details.
When I once used the Bing image generator for fun, i generated some ideas I had thought of including the characters i imagined. I only typed the prompt for their physical characteristics and them being on an adventure (also the girl wearing a dress). The generator gave me clothes that I was reasonably satisfied with and now I definitively know what clothing my characters wear.
