Can the Godfather stop lying and just admit, it’s not that he was slow to recognise the dangers of AI. No. Just like every ambitious shortsighted man, he was blindly following his compulsion, his life’s work. He wanted to achieve something and be recognised. So he carried on despite hearing warnings here and there. Now he’s decided to repent? Too little too late.
