we need to ask, what will we loss first ?
which part of humanity ?
but the real people who decide this is not us, it is only a few people in power.
first of all, it is humans who decide that a machine is in a process. so it is human who thinks there is gain or greed which will decide who will gain/loss. and it is people in power. and the powerful persons in charge of decisions are in it mostly for certain gains. Gains could be legal / illegal, which means, our decision to allow ai to do something is already skewed, even though scientists can prove a good or loss, rich and powerful people will override it because money is more important and ai will be used sooner or later for their gain (and our loss)
ai is like new money, and the rich and powerful likes money.
normal people decides nothing, we only get to listen to hype talk by jensen huang = ai is 1000% good, please buy more nvidia. haha
