See the problem is in a modern military, you don't want a single unit going off and doing what ever it thinks is the best option, you want it coordinating with the rest of the force (e.g. if an autonomous aircraft requires an escort to fly over a dangerous area) this could work with a digital battlespace communication system with other autonomous units (assuming its not jammed) however if it needed to work with friendly human assets thing may get a bit more complicated🤔
