HERE'S THE REAL KICKER: Tech companies already have the technology, capacity, and ability to design their AI systems in energy efficient ways. The reason they don't is because it costs more money, and they're not willing to take the profit loss. Also, there's no federal regulations imposing requirements and restrictions. In fact, the US government is funding many of these data centers, including for their own use.
