The thing is is that AI art can’t draw exactly what I imagine and what I want to draw. They can’t make my characters fighting on a battlefield in the poses I imagine them in, only you have the power to create exactly what you want, and that brings you pride, more pride than a computer generation can give you. Because it’s always a wonderful feeling when you draw something and when you look at it you think “wow… I drew that…. That’s awesome”
The only times I’ve used AI art is usually for shits and giggles. Sometimes I have used it when I’m stuck on a design like “a dress that looks like lava” so I type it in, look at the designs, take the information they give and come up with my own. And that’s what I think AI art should be. It should be something to help with artists block and give ideas to people. But ai art shouldn’t be used as actual art. For gods sake AI art is fucking terrible, no doubt about it. Which is why I feel like it should only be used for Brainstorming, and it shouldn’t ever be used as a form of art. I feel like AI art should also generate a giant watermark that says “AI GENERATED DO NOT USE FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES” or something like that
