We will NEED to rethink this notion that humans must EARN a living, as if humans don't have a right to live unless they are using their labor to contribute to the increasing profits of someone else.
I believe, in the short term, ANY business that uses any form of AI should be required to pay a displaced worker tax, for each job it takes away from a human. Then, the millionaires & billionaires NEED to pay their fair share of taxes.
This will help offset paying a universal basic income to those that will be permanently taken out of the workforce, through no fault of their own, in the coming years.
And that will be most of us.
