Im profoundly concerned about this idea. The difficulty in making sure a target is valid is really hard even when you have trained eyes looking at it. A friend was part of that process, clearing drone strikes, and the number of times some niche intel came at the last moment to prevent them from striking innocent people is way too much for fully autonomous drones. In regions without civilians things are obviously different, which makes this specific implementation less problematic. but AI shouuldnt decide targets on its own as a general strategy
