Since iStock, Getty and Alamy own pretty much every image on the internet that could be used as an 'example' (or in my case, web design fodder), AI has become ideal for just generating things I need without dealing with corpo scum that will license an image a photographer has donated to the Library of Congress, and then sue her for using (true story, search Carol Highsmith).
I just remember a glorious time in the early and mid 2000s when you could google search up some tribal grunge textures, CGI hexagonal carbon fiber textures or even tutorials for Photoshop techniques to make such. Since those days are long gone, now that Google is dogshit and corporations own all corners of the internet, I'm gonna find any way to deny them a dime, even if that includes filling two SSDs with models and LORAs.
