It is ironic that when Mr. Hinton - the godfather of AI - is asked if he thinks that AI is conscious, he states, "It is fairly clear that if you weren't talking to philosophers, we'd agree that AI was aware". And yet, after making his consciously condescending remark about philosophers the conversation turns “philosophical” as concerns a potential AI-caused societal and political upheaval. I wish the host had asked Mr. Hinton, “How will Artificial Super Intelligence judge philosophers?” After all, unlike Mr. Hinton, Artificial Intelligence (be it AI, AGI, or ASI) will never eat cows, will it?
