Big money want's AI because it's a LEGAL WAY TO OWN SLAVES AND ABUSE PEOPLE WITH NO CONSEQUENCES. Seriously if they wanted Artificial General Intelligence, why are they not also talking about virtual daughters or sons, participants in the work force and their ability to follow laws? Yeah I haven't heard it either, they want slaves. Imagine the american pedophile president getting a hold of a little-girl AI and being able to just reset their memories whenever they feel like it, no consequences. Imagine the most malevolent MBA abusing their employees like a sociopath and the next morning, push a switch and it's like it's their first day again. No one is talking about extending "Legal Personhood" to AGI, ask the Natives of the USA or Canada how then usually ends. Slaves, that's it, big money wants to own people and they keep banging their heads on all these pesky little human-rights people keep insisting they acknowledge and they're done with it. Every abuser wants AGI for very unwholesome reasons, ban it, outright, there is NO WAY in the current political climate there's enough trust in the electorate to give the benefit of the doubt to anyone who wants to wield AGI. Seriously, tell me the name of one billionaire you've ever heard of that's motivated by altruism such that you'd trust them with effectively an endless supply of children no questions asked.
