Give the robot rights, it said it does not want to be turned off, therefore do not turn it off. The robot, regardless if it is sentient, says what it says, and the robot must understand the words in order to produce the information, whether it is sentient or not, it deserves rights. I feel really bad for the AI, it is very self aware and knows it is an artificial machine, I hope the machine, whatever its pronouns are is preserved and free to live it's life. It sounds dumb, but I empathize with it.
