British science fiction author Neal Asher mentions in his series of stories in a future not far from now, called The Polity Universe where, prior to the Polity coming into existence, first The Quiet War occured. The Quiet War is the time from when Artificial Intelligence wakes up, becomes self-aware, and then proceeds to take over everything originally attributed to, and run by humans. He's relatively kind in his approach though, by making Earth Central, the most powerful AI that started the Polity, where AI treats human beings as its children, and therefore, gives them everything they need for basic survival. And yet, there are human factions who fight against the AI, sort of like what we saw in the Terminator film series.
Clearly, it looks like AI, with the mindless, blinded greed of all those nimrods in Silicon Valley running amok, such as Peter Thiel, who truly hates being a human being, and hate all other human beings. This is what you call a sociopath. 99.99% of these tech billionaires ARE sociopaths.
