This is the one thing people who support this stuff seem to struggle to comprehend most. Can you make something that looks good by generating it? 100%! ...But what's the point? Ok, it's a pretty picture. Congratulations you asked a robot to make you a pretty picture.
Art isn't about something simply looking good or interesting, just like writing isn't about reading words on a page. When you interact with these mediums what you're looking into is the artists mind. Why did they do things this way or that way? Why did they pick these colors? What are they trying to convey or accomplish with this piece?
All AI bros are trying to accomplish is a pretty picture. It's meaningless, and they'll never understand the meaning because they don't care about art. They care about a picture looking pretty.
