To be fair this isn't a new thing, taking someone else's concept and fleshing it out without compensating the original creative person has been a thing since entertainment was an industry. There are quite a few stories about people pitching a movie or a show to a studio and got rejected, only for the studio to later make suspiciously similar things to what those people pitched. Generative AI just made it a lot easier.
