IMO, AI supporters between the average people who consume digital art don't really care about it being revolutionary or a great tool for artists. They just see it as a way for taking advantage, getting "art" cheap and easy without the middle man.
Also, people are always afraid of these type of advancements because they end up serving capitalistic purposes.
That's why you see a lot of folks being very entitled.
