Considering how extremely accessible and easy it is to do this and also considering that AI technology is developing at an exponential rate (every week there is a new advancement, upgrade, technique or development, especially in the visual department) combined with the fact that NOBODY can stop the entire internet...I think this is only starting and it's gonna be an unavoidable part of our society, just like any little kid can download an mp3 file of the song they want in seconds without tools, just a simple youtube to mp3 webpage and a couple of clicks despite how loud was all the media talking against piracy a couple of decades ago. How many years have passed since the first revenge porn video being released online? Did we manage to stop it? Nope. It's all over the internet with hundreds of videos being uploaded every single day. The world would have to become entirely like China or North Korea and censor and severely restric the internet access for every human in order to stop this kind of things... and that is never going to happen.
