Most people have entry level understanding of computer engineering and AI. No, AI will not entirely replace developers because it has no creative capability. It's a dumb machine with a massive memory (the entire internet). It can only predict code for code answers that it has previously seen. It is regurgitating human intelligence. Remove human intelligence and "artificial intelligence" implodes.
