I'm a traditional artist (pencil, oil, acrylic etc) For the purposes of fairness and to understand the threat AI poses to the creative world I tried it out. The ONLY purpose AI could possibly offer to any **actual** artist is maybe in producing concept source materials. In the same way an artist might reposition flowers for a still life, it can potentially help people to discover new ideas and take a project in a new direction. That's the only thing I found useful about it from an artistry perspective. Claiming to be an "artist" while using AI is like claiming to be a musician because you know how to click a play button.
