It would make much more sense of the government restricted the companies decision for lay offs. Companies have way too much power and its time for governments to step in and make it illegal for companies to do mass layoffs because of AI. Otherwise, UBI will be mandatory and thats going to cost them and us (higher taxes) ALOT more than just making a few more laws.
