True artificial intelligence "simply is." Comparing AI to a subgenre of illustrated artwork is like comparing a human being to a unicellular organism.
You CAN'T...
We - for example - are "machines of a biological origin," so to say. We learn as we grow over time - thanks to what we observe, what we're taught, and whatever we choose to remember from our mistakes or feats. I doubt "machines of a mechanical or biomechanical origin" would be any different!
For now, however, we have no real examples I can think of (unless anyone can cite a source that proves otherwise, to be fair.)
