Surely AI is not at it’s peak jet, but I am a engineering student and I can confidently say that current state AI can not solve problems to a level precise enough to put our live in its hands. If I do tests using AI I can score between 50-80% depending on the subjects, if I studied and have enough time I can solve it between 75-95% manually, if I work using a script or excel I score 98-100%. Writing a script to solve a problem using AI has so far not worked for me to a point of satisfaction. Also as we know AI is good in replication not in creation, I would argue that AI will not be able to replace engineers in the near future.
