This guy is an attention seeking idiot, the whole sentient AI debate oxymoronic, we know the components that go into these systems, just because something can demonstrate complex behavior means nothing, movies, video games, demonstrate complex behavior, GP3T was literally copy and pasting pre-written sentences from human writers, that aside, he's making a publicity stunt out of this by hiring a lawyer for a piece of code, a piece of code can run on my fridge, can my fridge now be sentient even if it can run that code at a very low speed? It's just dumb, we have a lot of work still to figure out how the human brain is conscious, but mixing a matching pre-made statements from humans who are actually sentient is clearly not the same thing
