I brought this subject up with MP Jonathan Hinder, he said I should contact the local college for AI courses. The local college (Nelson and Colne College) does not have a single course on AI and it's the same at other colleges. The email from my MP was not helpful and was quite uninformed regarding AI. The government says it's the future and you need AI literarcy. Most of the population cannot afford online courses and the free ones are not indepth enough. The government have a website where you can learn AI yourself but it's not advertised enough. I think all colleges should have drop in AI sessions and all councils should have an AI officer role. As a intermediate level AI developer the local councils could use AI to improve services. It's all talk from these politicians and no action in my opinion.
