I've always wanted to get into drawing, but when i was studying for my GCSEs, i had this girl who sat next to me in class could draw mappa level anime pannels from 'simple doodling', and it really got me down, but then after a while i thought i should just get better myself until ai suddenly became much better at images, i just felt like whats the point of getting good when some machine does it better, worst of all my dad discoraged me too as he has more of an "efficiency" mindset like "look how much time they can save!", viewing art as no more than a product, something to be managed and sold since he works in the finance sector, dont get me wrong, i dont hate him now, but what he said really discouraged me, honestly its just really hard to get pencil to paper with all this ai shenanigans
