I personally don't like AI art because it just seems like a lazy way to produce an image. There's no understanding of the subject in the image or how to process a 3D object onto a 2D canvas. There's no imagination or innovation behind the work.
I haven't tried to make AI art before but from my understanding, it seems like you type a prompt and the image generates itself. (please, correct me if I'm wrong) To me, that feels so boring and lazy. No skill or effort put into it.
