A US sovereign wealth fund is a good option to fund these challenges. The government should make it mandatory, for companies over a certain capex, to issue shares to the wealth fund. Norway funds most of its social security, education and health costs through a sovereign wealth fund. Implemented in 1994 from oil revenues. AI, for the US, will be a similar windfall. The UK had an oil windfall but the government squandered it on tax cuts. Norwegians are sitting pretty on $340,000 US each person.
