AI and robots will take over millions of jobs by 2050. It's not that there won't be jobs for people in the future, but there will be more people than there are now and fewer jobs available. All of this will mean that each individual will have less value to society.
Without legal employment, people will only have three options: work for the mafia, receive public assistance, or live off begging, which is the exact opposite of the society depicted in "Wall-E." With fewer people working, paying taxes, and contributing to social security, there will be less public assistance, proportionally lower pensions than today, a higher retirement age, and less health coverage. No fat people lying around all day with nothing to do but eat and shop while staring at a screen, as shown in "Wall-E."
Lower per capita income will lead to lower consumption and business closures.
Conclusion: go to the optician because you have alarming myopia.
