This is my thing with AI artists. Literally anyone calling themself an "AI artist" is full of shit. It sounds like "Photoshop Artist". All they do is look for shortcuts and most lowkey hate traditional artists. I've contemplated using AI art for references, and 1000s of image generations later the idea is still kinda eww to me even though I know I will need to eventually integrate it into my comics pipeline. I like sketchy, manga ink kind of art and was starting to get [back] into coloring when AI art dropped. With stuff like controlnet I can color line art in seconds but I still prefer to do it from scratch. I dunno, to me being an artist is about constantly improving, and trying to mold your medium with your current level of skill to create a final piece. To call yourself an artist after typing prompts and not even doing any kind of post processing, is just delusional but to take that art and trace it, then try to gaslight the internet when you get busted is insane.
