All this sweet talk is just about trying to prolong capitalism. Think about it. In a society capable of fully automated production, of what use is there to designate a few persons as owners of all of it and give them near-infinite power over the rest of humanity? It is simply bizarre. Capitalism is good for industrial development stage. But imagine a Star Trek universe in which a fake pro-people politician talks about how those few quadrillionaires should share more with the "less fortunate". Without economic purpose, capitalism can survive as a quasi-religion for only so long. I say give yourself the dignity and privilege of envisioning the true potential of humanity. Ditch the politicians trying to buy you with breadcrumbs for centuries.
