In the pyramid of the professions probably the top and bottom can be replaced by the most easily. The top ones can be replaced by AI algorithms, services, the bottom ones can be replaced by automatic production lines, rudimentary “robots”, manipulator arms. The humanoid shaped robots are dead ends in the next 50 years at least. Those are far too expensive to develop and make and they are kinda unnecessary for tha majority of the tasks. Who should be afraid of the next industrial evolution? CEOs, decision makers, analists, scientists, office workers, who mainly is thinking and handling computers, tipical white collar jobs. They can be replaced easly and which is more important cheaply. The financial benefit would be probably high enough to replace them. A factory worker by the production line making a simple task can be replaced, but their wage is low, and to develops, make, and maintain the replacement technology is not cheap even it is not very sophisticated. An AI service is a software, not a hardware and there are tons and tons of software designers, coders. Those who are in the midddle of the pyramids of the professions, task, who are smart, experienced, and has a vast knowledge, can think analitically, creatively and can work with hardware, maintaining, fixing, setting, installing… those are very hard to replace. That would need a humanoid shaped robot with the sophisticated AI inside, which is the most expensive combo. I think the white collar workers, even the CEO-s, maybe even politicians or prime ministers will be replaced no matter what. Probably some cheap labor is in danger, but in this capitalist, money and consumption oriented world you cant throw away millions of paying customers who buys the things, goods. In a REAL socialism, communist like utopia the AI and “robots” probably would be widely used, but that is not gonna happen soon. Maybe in the future, 200-300 years later, but there is a big chance that before that there will be some new World War, even nuclear ones so nobody would care about robots replacing humans.
